Although most of the flagship models of major manufacturers support eSIM, it is essential to check if your phone is compatible with eSIM before buying one.

One way to install your eSIM is using the QR code we send you via email and on-site instructions (most providers will email you the instructions).

1. On iOS: Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > Add Cellular Plan (or Add Data Plan), then scan the QR code.
2. If you cannot see your QR code on a second screen, you can now load your QR code from your camera roll if you are running iOS 17 (supporting iPhone 11 and above). Take a screenshot of the QR code from your email or the QwikWorld website, then when you get to the QR code scanning step, choose 'Open Photos.'
3. On Android (Google Pixel): Go to Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Add More > Download a SIM instead, and then scan the QR code.
4. On Android (Samsung): Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager > Add Mobile Plan > Scan QR code

Although this method is not the best but if you opt to install the eSIM manually, it's possible on IOS devices and some Android devices.

1. Go to Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan and click "Enter Details manually" on the bottom.
2. Enter the information provided in QwikWorld's instruction/purchase email.

Once you install the eSIM, the eSIm profile gets added to your device. You now need to activate the eSIM to start using it.

Check the QwikWorld Website to see if manual activation is needed for the eSIM you purchased. If manual activation is necessary, we recommend doing so as soon as possible before takeoff while still linked to your home network since internet access is necessary to activate your eSIM profile.

If you do not see the button to manually activate your eSIM, it means your eSIM will be automatically activated when you arrive at your destination and connect to the network.

After arriving at your destination, go to your phone's Settings and turn on the QwikWorld eSIM. Also, Ensure that Data Roaming is turned on for your QwikWorld eSIM.

You can easily add more data to an active eSIM without having to install a new one if you already have one installed. Simply select "Add more data" from the eSIM tab on the QwikWorld Website to experience uninterrupted connectivity. Remember that this technique only functions provided your data is not exhausted or expired, so be sure to add additional data ahead of time. The add-on will automatically activate upon the expiration or use-up of data from your current plan.
